The Europe Tutorial Academy offers courses in six different types of programme areas:
All our E.T.A. online distance learning course units are especially designed for individual student self-learning with the main course content is broken up into manageable sections to establish robust foundations for staged learning, self-reflection and offer frequent opportunities to check understanding. Each distance learning unit concludes with the student completing an integrated online assessment. Once this assessment is submitted, the student will receive instant feedback, and an individualised report and certificate of course completion.
Our bespoke Online Short Courses are designed for a cohort size of up to eight students and are taught by one tutor, or sometimes a team of tutors. Each course has a specific start and end date with its own schedule structure varying from 1 week to 8 weeks in duration, and with sessions running at different times and duration in the day or evening. Our online short courses come in two types of Series:
Our Online Tutoring programmes are very flexible. Typical Types of Online Tutorial Programmes include a “booster”tutorial programme designed to give you a mid-course stimulus, and a “revision” tutorial programme designed to consolidate your learning to date and check on the effectiveness of your learning strategies.

A fundamental goal of the E.T.A. learning enrichment programmes is to expose the students of today – who will after all be the leaders of tomorrow, to methodologies and mindsets beyond that offered in traditional European pre-university curricula. The core of our enrichment programme ethos is the notion of “beyond borders”: to empower students to intellectually and collectively reach beyond and across geographical borders, to individually reach beyond their own (self- and societally-imposed) boundaries, and to think across artificially imposed subject borders. For such a “sharing of learning experiences and knowledge acquisition across borders”, we maintain at E.T.A., can provide fresh insights (individually and collectively).
The E.T.A. educational enrichment workshops come in two types of Series:
It is never too late for any of us to gain exposure to new ideas or restudy “old-learning” through a mature lens. Indeed,it is this principle, that is at the centre of the Europe Tutorial Academy Adult Study Retreats. For our retreats are aimed at adults who wish to continue some form of semi-formal learning. Be it to seek exposure to an intellectual stimulus, pursue a particular interest, or simply to spend time studying with fellow enthusiasts. Much of the support material for our Adult Study Retreats include contributions from seminal texts, works and ideas by some of the world’s most interesting and influential thinkers. And some of our retreats are designed to encourage in our participants a critique of an orthodox viewpoint or established paradigm, and subsequently to collectively seek alternative (possibly heterodox) approaches to solutions. We welcome applications from participants in all walks of life and at various stages of their careers. Our Study Retreats for Adults are offered in the three strands of Philosophy, Literature and Language, each with their own sub-themes.
